  • We came for dinner after a long day of hiking in Bruce Peninsula, and wanted to have a yummy dinner! After doing some research we came across of The Green Door Cafe, and it absolutely hit the spot. It was exactly what we were looking for! We had the burger with upgrade to poutine and the BBQ chicken wrap with Caesar salad and it was great! Side note, I probably had the best beer I’ve ever had in Canada since I moved almost 10 years ago. It is served so COLD and in an equally cold glass which makes the experience so gratifying!! Recommending this spot to anyone who wants a very nice meal!!

  • The Wyck Recommendation: Green Door Café Rating: 4.4/5 Pickles, Patties, and Paranoia (aka Lunch in Wiarton) Intro Scene I’ve been coming to Green Door Café for five years. I know this town, I know this spot, and I came in confident—with two white friends, a good appetite, and zero need to scan the menu. I told the waitress to surprise me. She did. And so did the room. Suddenly, half the café turned into a silent episode of Guess Who Doesn’t Belong? It’s cute—small town stares while we eat like we’re on a cooking show. What Was Ordered Surprise Caesar: Spicy, rimmed, and topped with a pickle doing Cirque du Soleil. A chaotic drink, but a bold one. Halloumi Sandwich: Crunchy on the outside, creamy in the middle. Basically if grilled cheese discovered skincare and self-worth. Smash Burger: A full cinematic experience. Double patty, edge-seared, drippy cheese, toasted bun. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. Falafel Bowl: Microgreens, roasted chickpeas, a whole urban farm in one bowl. Not life-changing, but good. Beets & Feta Salad: Sweet, earthy, and sprinkled with emotional support walnuts. Total bill: $110 for three mains, two drinks, and one unforgettable meal. Service Commentary Our waitress was confident, warm, and didn’t flinch when I told her to pick my drink. She delivered a Caesar that was both delicious and slightly unhinged. No attitude, no awkwardness, just solid, no-nonsense service in the middle of mild town-wide surveillance. Vibe Check Room was relaxed, daylight flowing in, but yeah—we were the entertainment. Not loud. Not rowdy. Just... visible. People watched. We made eye contact. A man in a visor paused his fork to analyze our entire table. It was like being Yelp-reviewed in real time. The Space Itself Modern-rustic décor. Succulents, matte-finished tables, water in tall glass bottles like they’re auditioning for a minimalist coffee table book. Clean, calm, no crumbs. The place looks like it’s trying to win “Best Café on a Budget” from a fake design magazine, and honestly? It might. About the Neighborhood Downtown Wiarton. Walkable. Weirdly charming. A few artisan stores. Parking’s easy if you don’t mind circling. You might see a guy in Tevas drinking kombucha and feel oddly safe. A town where nothing happens unless you do something. Hits & Misses Smash Burger: straight-up legendary Surprise Caesar: weird, wild, wonderful Halloumi Sandwich: gooey, crispy, deeply satisfying Server energy: confident, no-fuss Falafel Bowl: a bit too Whole Foods for Wiarton Social energy: still catching up to the food Final Verdict Green Door Café is still one of Wiarton’s best. The food has only gotten better over the years, and the service is just as sharp. But the crowd? That’s where the flavor fades. You can’t fix a stare with seasoning—but you can eat well while being watched. And that’s exactly what I did. Rating: 4.4/5 Perfect For Becoming the main character while eating a burger Longtime locals who make the town feel new again

  • Such a wonderful delicious place! Very welcoming and top notch service from the moment we walked in to the very end! You can really feel the positive vibes and energy! • We tried it from a friend’s recommendation and it is so worth it! Such delicious fish & chips, and incredible salted caramel cheesecake!! Quality service as well. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Sauble Beach!

  • Cozy and friendly cafe with great choices and everything fresh and tasty. The brussel sprouts were prepared perfectly. The soup of day was carrot and yellow beets with goat cheese and was excellent. Sandwich of the day was fish, again well prepared. Had to have the plant power salad to go because we were full. Had it later and again fresh and tasty. Friendly staff, attentive and responsive. Will definitely be back.

  • I ordered the beet salad with an added chicken skewer and it was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The service was quick and friendly, and the overall atmosphere felt very warm and homey. A great spot for a relaxed and satisfying meal.

  • Absolutely loved this gem of a restaurant. While walking by we assumed the full restaurant was a good sign, and it was. The enticing menu makes it very difficult to choose what to order! In my case I opted for the beet and feta salad, and the smoked salmon. So good!!! Loved the service, the vibe and everything about this wonderful spot.

  • Loved our dinner at the Green Door. The falafel bowl was top notch and something that I usually don't order. A gem of a spot in Wiarton.
